People, people, PEOPLE!

Miriam and I are photographing the members of the Inglewood Golf Club, the oldest club in the Northwest, and will be here in Kenmore Washington (a 'burb of Seattle) for a spell. The club is a BEAUTIFUL place inside and out, and the staff are nearly beyond belief in their sweetness, helpfulness, cheeriness, and interest in helping everyone they meet. Besides their skills at what they "do".
This is a wonderful example of how to do something right. The attitude of the leaders of the club permeates the course staff, the groundskeepers, and the kitchen staff. They even pick up the fallen fircones by hand each day around the landscaped areas, the whole place looks scrubbed and pristine ... and the flowers! They have plantings and baskets and vases ... and they are all stunning.
It is an inspiration to be here. We've been looking on our own operations, both our studios and MyPhotoMentor, and wondering how we could make our own "spaces" as inviting, joyous, and beautiful as Inglewood Golf Club is. And as delightfully challenging as the course is!
The members that have been attracted to this club seem to share the attitude of the staff and management ... they are bright cheery people and helpful to a person. I've mentioned this to some of the members I've photographed, and they have said in their experience the attitude here is the best they've been around, and that is why they are happy to pay the price to be here.
This is not an inexpensive club. But ... it's a wonderful place to be, almost magical. Once you've been here, I would imagine saving money by joining another club would not have much interest to the members.
Now, I'm not saying we want to run an "exclusive club" here at MyPhotoMentor; far from it, we want to run a large "club" of art and photo enthusiasts all helping each other to learn and to grow.
But we DO want the members here to feel just like the members of Inglewood ... thrilled to be "here" and so satisfied they afre eager to come back every day.
We're trying hard to improve the look, the feel, the content, and the total experience of MyPhotoMentor. And as always, we want your feedback on everything here. We read everything and share it among the mentors and staff. If you write to us, we WILL discuss your thoughts and ideas!
So please, look around, and whether you are a member or casual visitor, tell us what you see, what you think, what you feel, and VERY importantly, what you'd like to see, feel, and experience around here.
Thanks!
