You Can't Always Get What You Want...

I was not satisfied with my results when photographing bronze.  (See Beautiful Bronze)  Today, I decided to go for Round Two, using studio lights.  I figured it would be a snap in the studio.

WRONG!  Sigh.  I guess I'll have to try again.  Round Three coming up!  But while I didn't get what I wanted, I did get a very artful interpretation of the piece.  Shows that while we can't always get what we want, we CAN keep our eyes open for what we weren't seeking...

Oooh ... this looks cool!

This kind of shot can often take 3-10 lights and a couple reflectors and a couple black "deflectors" (?) too, to get ... "right". Great thing to practice lighting with!
