It's been said, hasn't it?

Most of us find that many of the days of our lives, we just have some trouble getting moving, and keeping on the narrow path towards our supposed goals. We look at those who have, and think somehow they're different. Well, in one way they are: they may read and actually follow just a bit better the wisdom that is all around us.
My two examples for the day, first, from George Bernard Shaw:
“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in life and in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want… And if they can’t find them, they make them.”
The second, from business-success guru Zig Ziglar:
"People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily."
There is SO much wisdom already said ... but still we seem quite capable of ignoring it. We are SO human, but that also means we can do better even without actually changing ... and in the process of just doing better, become better. I just hope I can follow my own words!
