I'm SO impressed!

With a young woman, Jasmine Star, that spoke at our local Professional Photographers of Oregon convention on Monday. So much turmoil in her life ... she was at UCLA law school, full-ride, DETERMINED to be at the top of her class, first generation immigrant (born in the USA) and all that ... and then her mom was diagnosed with brain cancer and all that changed.

She became a wedding photographer because she so loved working with and watching the photographer who did her own wedding ... and she realized she needed to do SOMETHING for living that would make her happy more than make her money.

Her new hubby told her ... when this sudden change of career aspirations came out of her mouth and caught him by surprise ... that he'd rather have her fail at something she loved than succeed at something she hated.

What a man! And what a woman, too. Inspiration is truly where we find it.

All three of us "founders" here have succeeded precisely because of the mentoring we sought and, as Jasmine, the determination to find a way to succeed.

Happy hunting, and in the immortal words of Captain Taggart (you HAVE seen "Galaxy Quest", haven't you?Cool) "Never give up! Never surrender!"
