A "butterfly" shell!

Saturday, May 15th 2010 @ 8:47 PM (not yet rated)    post viewed 235 times

Miriam and I went to the Oregon Coast today to photograph a couple families for her "Haugen's" brand ... and I mostly metered, held flashes in lieu of carrying stands on to the beach, that sort of thing. But I did take the camera along, of course ... and out on the beach was this shell that Miriam commented looked like a butterfly.

So, intrigued, I let her and her clients head on down the beach and took a few shots. This is with some work in Lightroom, especially upping saturation and contrast, few other tid-bits. I think the Topaz "filter" software (like Cherie has) would probably be well suited for working an image like this. Just for the sheer pleasure of it!
