Our 8 and a half acre portrait park is surrounded by field of Meadowfoam that burst into full bloom last week. My model is Anita, a 28 year old Taiwanese student who is living with us while in a program to study English and American culture.

I was playing around with a black and white grain effect on this image.

This was taken at about 7:00 pm on May 16. There was a thick layer of haze diffusing the sun. I used a Porcelain skin action in Photoshop

I wanted a wide angle effect and only had one lens with me, an 18-125mm. I would like to try this again with something wider.

This is a patch of un-mowed grass next to the field of meadow foam. The grass grows SO fast this time of year!

Low tide at the Oregon Coast revealed these amazing starfish.

This is 4 month old Adalynn. What do you with a baby who is not sitting up? I find that Laying them on the floor and standing over them is a nice option. Since the "Back to Sleep" concept swept the US, I find that many babies do NOT like being on their stomachs and get tired easily.

Deirdre's aunt had the idea of doing sugar and spice with a twist. The spice is chile peppers. She wanted a wild, paint spattered background but I felt it would just be too busy and the story would be lost.
